    What is your mission statement?

    Our mission - to be the resource for inventors to show their board games to retailers
    and game lovers. Retailers need new products, so here we are. In between inventors
    and retailers are game suppliers, reps, agents and loads of fun & contests.

    How does a listing on Discover Games work?

    Discover Games works like a directory. You provide us with a your company logo
    and a description and we will display it in the appropriate category. Visitors see
    your logo and click thru to your site. It's that simple and it works!

    the retailer closest to you or you may contact the inventor directly.

    We plan to be aggressive in the marketplace as follows:

    1. Direct mailings to retailers, stores & catalog.

    2. E-mailings to game inventors, publications, reps, agents, stores, etc.

    3. Direct telephone contact with inventors and other related fields if not already
      on the web.

    4. Press releases.

    5. Presence at Toy Fair in New York (the largest industry trade show) via a booth
      showcasing member's games and the site.

    6. Presence at Toy and Game Inventor's Forum held in Las Vegas.

    8. Informative newsletters targeted at industry professionals.

    Where do I find information on how to produce,
    protect & market my new game idea?

    There are several areas to look. The game inventor wannabe pages provide
    basic information & extensive lists of resource links. The bulletin boards hold
    a wealth of infomation. The featured companies & inventors on the home page
    have terrific advice. If this isn't enough, leave a message on the
    bulletin board,
    call one of the game consultants listed or email us.

    I'm not a game inventor, how can my company benefit from your site?

    By becoming a Discover Games member, your company can benefit from our targeted traffic.
    We do this by linking up to your site through ours. As you know, game inventors need the
    services of graphic designers, reps, agents, printers and retailers.

    What are the requirements for my logo link?

    If your logo is already on a website this works best. We will simply grab the image
    from that site.

    If you email your artwork to us:

    The logo should be your best quality .gif or .jpeg file.
    Your logo should be no larger than 160 pixels wide by 100 pixels in height.
    Images should be sent via email to mary@discovergames.com

    Why is Toy Fair so important?

    Toy Fair is the largest toy and game trade show in North America. Currently host to over
    1700 manufacturers, distributors, importers, reps, agents from 30 countries.

    How can I get my game represented at these events?

    By becoming a gold member, your game will be displayed in our booths.
    Simply fill out our registration form and choose gold member.

    How many and Where do I send my games?

    We ask that the two games, a "cheat sheet" with important information you want us to get across to visitors as well as basic play and 100 - 150 collated sales flyers/promotional literature (the number goes down each year, booth visitors are more reluctant each year to carry material, they prefer to be contacted after the show) be sent to the hotel we are staying at in New York so they arrive the day before the show starts so that we can take them to Javits when we set up.

    Can I help in the booth?

    Althought we appreciate your willingness to help, space is limited.
    We don't mind if you "meet" people at the booth, just not inside, sorry.

    We will show your game and pass out literature. We will take the buyer
    information so that you may contact them at a later date.
